With the financial support of the European Union, Eurasia Partnership Foundation in partnership with “Constitution” Research Foundation is implementing a 24-month “AgriVision” project in Lankaran economic region. The goal of the project is to create and test a sustainable replicable agro-tourism / ecotourism development mechanism that would help rural households in the southern region of Azerbaijan increase their revenue and intensify the connection between urban and rural in Azerbaijan.

One of the main objectives of the project is to strengthen capacity of public and private agri-tourism/ecotourism stakeholders and business advisory service providers. In order to ensure that the project’s interventions align with the demand and needs of its direct beneficiaries, the expert assessments have identified the areas where the capacity of the public and private consortia members is lacking, especially the capacity of private providers of agri/ecotourism services. Based on these assessments, EPF developed a detailed plan of capacity building activities. The format of the activities will be determined to best serve the learning goals. One of the formats include trainings.



Eurasia Partnership Foundation, Azerbaijan is seeking highly qualified experts to undertake the role of Trainer who will be providing the expertise and support to both the consortium and project team when and where required. The incumbents will work in close collaboration with the operations, consortium members and projects’ staff for resolving issues of different complexity and information exchange. They will promote a quality and results-oriented approach while delivering the assignments.

Scope of Work:

In the scope of the project EPF will contract the services for business trainers who will work closely with the consortium and the project teams. Specifically, their responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Develop training modules in accordance with need assessments;

· Travel to and stay in Lankaran city in order to deliver trainings;

· Carry out trainings on business operation, business plan preparation, customer relations, communication, marketing and sales, and etc.

The incumbent will be reporting to the Project Manager(s). The incumbent must ensure timely fulfillment of his/her assisting and support actions, thus making timely and sufficient contribution to the timely preparation and submission of the inputs. The trainer shall maintain regular communication and coordination with all parties overseeing the implementation of his/her duties.


The monitoring of fulfillment of the assignment by the trainer will be conducted by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation’s experts and manager of concerned project.


No international travel is envisaged at this point. The local travels are planned, which will be covered in accordance with rules and procedures.


  • University Degree in related fields. An advanced degree will be considered a significant advantage;
  • 3 year experience in capacity building, trainings or relevant field.
  • Experience working with the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan will be considered an advantage;
  • Working knowledge and excellent command over Azerbaijani.


  • Payment – within 7 (seven) days upon completion of tasks
  • Payments will be made in accordance with Service Contract
